Affectionately known as Crunchie, McAllister is regarded as a club legend at Falkirk, after spending 10 years at the football side over four spells. He was voted 'Player of the Millennium' by Bairns fans, a somewhat lofty title for the diminutive winger.

McAllister made 126 appearances for Hibernian, scoring 15 goals, and providing numerous assists, including a cross for Michael O’Neill to head in the opening goal in a 2-1 victory over Hearts in 1996.
