Established in 2004, the Hibernian Historical Trust is a proactive initiative that works to protect, celebrate and share the rich heritage of Hibernian Football Club.
Formed on a voluntary basis by a group of supporters, the legally recognised Trust has been created independently from Hibernian Football Club but with the full backing of the Board.
Since its formation in the Cowgate area of Edinburgh in 1875, Hibernian Football Club has been at the forefront of the Scottish game, often leading the way in many innovative developments. A rich seam of tradition, heritage and drama has coursed through the veins of the club since its humble beginnings in St Mary's Street.
The Hibernian Historical Trust strives to preserve this diverse history and promote the Club’s unique roots to a wider audience.
